This Right Bank apartment is fabulously situated on the border of the 8th & 16th Arrondissements. The apartment is in a pleasant neighborhood on a small, charming residential street just across the Seine from the glorious Eiffel Tower, the iconic symbol of Paris. The park surrounding the Eiffel Tower, the Champs de Mars, is a perfect setting for a picnic, a relaxing stroll through the beautiful gardens, a jog or a child’s pick-up soccer game! For an experience of a lifetime, make a dinner reservation at the Jules Verne restaurant atop the Eiffel Tower, a world renowned setting for an especially memorable occasion! Lunch at the Jules Verne is a particularly excellent value.

This classic Parisian apartment is situated on the 3rd floor French of an elevator building. This one-bedroom apartment abounds with old world charm. This spacious (60 m2 = 600 sq. ft.), light-filled living room is handsomely and comfortably furnished. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. Additionally, there is a double sleep sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully outfitted with an oven, stove top burners, microwave oven, refrigerator, cookware, dishes, etc. The full bathroom has a toilet, bathtub with a shower over the tub (with a glass shower door), a vanity, washbasin and mirror. There is a washer / dryer in the apartment building's basement accessible to the housekeeper. Laundry service is available at the rate of 12 euro per load.

From this “Quartier” (neighborhood) you can easily explore Paris' elegant 8th & 16th Arrondissements. Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and marvel at the grandeur of the Avenue des Champs Elysées leading to the glorious Place de la Concorde (where Louis the 16th and Marie-Antoinette met their demise during the French Revolution), the Jardin des Tuileries and finally arriving at the Louvre Museum. Fashionistas know Paris is the shopping capital of the world. Stroll along Avenue Montaigne and visit the boutiques of famous designers such as Dior, YSL, Chloe, Lanvin, Tod's, Cartier, Hermès and so on. Or simply enjoy an espresso or glass of wine and watch the world go by from a neighboring café. Of course, there are plenty of specialty food shops, patisseries & boulangeries in the neighborhood. Famous attractions such as the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and Notre Dame are easily accessible from the apartment. Metros, buses, or taxis are convenient but walking is recommended as the most enjoyable way to become acquainted with this area of Paris. *** Scroll down for property location map.

Fantastic Neighborhood Outdoor Market: Marché Président Wilson
Location: Place d’léna on Wednesday and Saturday mornings 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Bursting with high-quality epicurean delights, this twice-weekly market attracts the city's top chefs and discerning foodies!

In front of Palais de Tokyo and running almost the length of Avenue Président-Wilson, this open air food market claims to be the largest of its kind in Paris. It may also be the most gourmet – go early in the morning to spot chefs and restaurateurs stocking up on fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, cheese and organic wine. The choice is eye-popping so take time to do several laps before choosing! At odds with the straight-laced 16th arrondissement, stall owners banter with customers and call out their wares, often offering morsels to taste.

Highlights include Joel Thiébault’s long-established grocery stall, known for peddling veg so rare you may never have seen it before; JPB fishmongers with their rainbow of seafood and fish (all so fresh it’s practically still wriggling) and Maison Priolet, renowned for game and high-quality poultry. Don’t be alarmed if much of it still has feathers – this may be in the heart of one of the most chi-chi areas but this is a proper slice of Parisian gastronomy – tongues, tripe and all.

Great for apartment dwellers … unlike its counterparts, it does a mean range of hot food to takeaway too: Thai, Chinese, Lebanese, and Breton-style crepes. Carnivores: head for the butchers half way down – a stall piled high with Alsatian choucroute, vats of boeuf bourguignon, paella, pâte to suit every palate and rotisserie chicken and roast potatoes. Find a spot with a view onto the Seine and the Eiffel Tower to devour your bounty. Market bliss!
