Description
This is a Non-Smoking Apartment
The Place Sainte-Catherine apartment is an ideal short-term vacation rental situated in the heart of the trendy and lively Marais neighborhood. This spacious two-bedroom flat is a haven for family holidays, corporate stays, and romantic getaways. Located on the second floor of a 19th century building classified as monument historique, your Paris apartment has been stylishly renovated by the owners who succeeded in combining modern design and comfort while retaining many of the original features: marble fireplace, parquet floors, wood beams, and many more touches of French character.
As you enter the spacious open living area, you will immediately notice the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer ample light and views onto a charming Parisian street. Seated on the comfortable leather sectional sofa you can enjoy all the comforts of home, including a large flat screen TV. The adjacent fully-equipped kitchen boasts professional quality appliances with a six-burner gas range and even your own espresso machine. You can sit either at the dining table or at the breakfast bar for a more casual meal. Whether you decide to cook in or eat out, you are close to quaint markets, high quality food stores, and great restaurants alike.
The inviting master bedroom offers a king-sized bed and decorative fireplace, while the second bedroom has a queen bed that looks out over a private courtyard. For additional sleeping space the sofa can be used as a futon. The full bathroom has a soaker bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. The separate half bathroom (W.C.) with toilet and sink allows for privacy without monopolizing the entire bathroom.
The Place Sainte-Catherine property is the ideal holiday rental for families, couples, and groups of friends seeking a stylish, modern, and convenient base to explore Paris. The Marais is a wonderful historic neighborhood known for its architecture, hip shops and galleries, restaurants, gay and Jewish population, and central location. You are surrounded by famous hôtels particuliers and within a stone’s throw from some of Paris' best museums: Maison Victor Hugo, Musée Picasso, Musée Carnavalet, and Centre Pompidou. You can also walk to Rue des Rosiers’ famous falafel shops, Seine River, Ile Saint-Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral, Left Bank and so much more.

The Marais:
Covering Paris’ central 3rd and 4th arrondissements, the Marais is the oldest neighborhood in the city, where medieval roads and architecture now contain designer boutiques, intimate museums, hip cafés, and hidden gardens. Just down the street from the Hôtel de Ville city hall, the Pompidou museum exhibits a wonderful range of modern art on four, expansive floors. In the center of the Marais, thanks to its historic Jewish heritage, you’ll find take-away and sit-down falafel restaurants and delis aplenty, including the world-famous L’As du Falafel, the newer Miznon, and ever-popular Sacha Finkelsztajn deli. Pick up a sweet treat from Pierre Hermé, Café Pouchkine, or L’Éclair de Génie and enjoy it in the calm sunshine of Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, or escape the crowds at the hidden Rosiers-Joseph Migneret garden. History buffs will appreciate the Musée Carnavalet, a history museum dedicated to the city of Paris, as well as the fascinating Musée des Archives, both troves of rare documents and artifacts. The recently renovated Picasso museum and the hunting museum, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, are fantastic options as well. Head towards metro St-Paul to rummage through the most unique antique and vintage shops in the area. Much of the Marais’ popular and varied nightlife scene caters to Paris’ gay population, but there is undoubtedly something to please everyone. The North Marais, toward Place de la République, is where you’ll find the delicious marché des Enfants Rouge and nearby cultural event center, Carreau du Temple, surrounded by a number of Paris’ trendiest cafés and clandestine cocktail bars.
