Description:
This is a Non-Smoking Apartment
Finding a vacation rental apartment in the famous Left Bank / St Germain 6th is the ultimate dream for most Paris visitors. Yet, within the St Germain neighborhood itself one should distinguish between the touristy upper St Germain which stretches north from the Boulevard to the river banks, and the more local & authentic lower St Germain which stretches from St Sulpice church to the southern edge of the Luxembourg Gardens.

Our brand new Luxembourg Trois 3 bedroom apartment is in that southern part, an area buzzing with a Parisian local ambiance, countless cafés and 2 famous restaurants La Coupole and Le Select at your doorsteps. There is fun shopping everywhere, on small side streets boutique style or on larger avenues like Rue de Rennes - the Boulevard Raspail open air market 3 times a week is not to be missed. For nature lovers, Paris' most famous central park, the Luxembourg Gardens, is a 5 minute walk!

The living/dining area is bright, spacious and inviting with a wide open floor plan. The lounge/TV corner is well designed for 6, the casual dining table and designer kitchen counter can accommodate 8 guests when combined. The decor is light and colorful throughout w/ natural light flowing thru three large French windows (double paned) - open any of them and you will experience an immediate plunge into the Parisian street life below!

The 3 bedrooms and baths are down the hall, each one facing the quiet inner courtyard. The Master is the largest with a King size bed and designer private ensuite bathroom. The other 2 guest bedrooms have a Queen and double bed respectively - they share the 2nd bath and a detached guest WC. The apartment has wifi throughout and a laundry closet in the back kitchen with washer / separate dryer.

Our Luxembourg Trois 3 bedroom vacation rental is the perfect Paris home for families, couples, work colleagues or single professionals traveling to Paris for all the right reasons.
Fantastic Neighborhood Outdoor Market: Marché Raspail
Location: Renne Métro Stop (crossroad of rue des Rennes and Blvd. Raspail)
Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Bursting with high-quality epicurean delights, this thrice-weekly market attracts the city's top chefs and discerning foodies! Marché Raspail remains one of the most vibrant open-air food markets in Paris! Like other Paris markets, this one draws a broad cross-section of locals who regularly shop here for their weekly provisions. It has everything from fresh produce to dairy, meats, flowers, and prepared foods. Young children pedal their foot scooters while parents complete their purchases. Some older customers, aided by walking sticks, navigate the well-grooved path to their favorite vendors. There can be some tourists, but make no mistake, this market isn’t a tourist trap. It mostly caters to the appetites and needs of local residents.

Marché Raspail is one of over seventy open-air neighborhood food markets in Paris. Centrally located in the 6th arrondissement along boulevard Raspail, stretching from rue du Cherche-Midi to rue de Rennes, Marché Raspail is open every Tuesday and Friday morning all year long. On Sunday mornings, an organic market – “Marché Biologique Raspail” (or simply “Le Marché Bio”) – can be found in the same location, but with a different set of vendors who specialize in organic items.

At the regular market on Tuesdays and Fridays, one finds several stands selling vegetables and fruits, numerous cheese sellers, fishmongers, butchers, triperies, and more. Olives and nuts come in a variety of flavors and colors. The rôtisserie chicken is especially renowned … as its juices drip upon chunks of potatoes … as are the breads and savory pastries. Monsieur Grémillet sells foie gras in vacuum-packed cans that can be transported home for a taste of Paris well after vacation has ended. For immediate gratification, the food truck Cantine California serves up various options including kale chips.

It’s somewhat misleading to refer to these as “food markets” since the offerings are much broader. In addition to all the delicious foods, one can also find scarves, gloves, leather goods, health and beauty products, jewelry, and even furniture repair. A visit to Marché Raspail can easily be combined with a foray to the nearby iconic gourmet food hall, La Grande Épicerie, or to the Jardin Luxembourg for a perfect picnic!

The ‘Marché Bio’ is on Sunday mornings while the “regular” (non-organic) Marché Raspail is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The nearest Métro stop is Rennes.
