Our Chez Mazarine is a charming, one bedroom Left Bank apartment superbly centrally located in the heart of Paris’ iconic Saint Germain des Prés neighborhood. The apartment, 300 sq. ft in size, is situated in a traditional Parisian residential building near the Seine and the islands.
This classic yet freshly modern apartment is a gem! The romantic living room has two sets of floor-to-ceiling French windows leading outside to Juliet balconies. The bedroom has a double size bed that can be separated and made-up as two twin-size beds. One of the two sofas in the living room converts to a sleep sofa. The beautiful modern bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom. The apartment offers fully equipped kitchen and clothes washing machine. This is the perfect place to restore one’s self while enjoying the pleasures of Paris!
YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD:
This is in the heart of the classic St Germain des Près neighborhood so you'll have all the outdoor markets, specialty food shops, boutiques, and everything you'll need close at hand. As you are in the 6th Arrondissement, you will be able to wander over the streets of St Germain with all their surprises.
Close by are the legendary cafés; the Brasserie Lipp, the Deux Magots and its rival, the Café Flore. A busy street market and buzzing area of cafes, boulangeries, and restaurants can be found only a few hundred yards away in the rue de Buci and rue de Seine. The famous Place de Furstenberg is in the same vicinity.
Remember to find the rue Mazarine just off the rue Dauphine and the rue St André des Arts, and you can come in the back door of le Procope, the oldest café in Paris where Voltaire wrote and where the French Revolution was plotted. If you go up the rue de Rennes to the Vieux Colombier and turn left, you'll walk on to the place St Sulpice with its famous church which was started in 1646, and truly has never been completed (note the south tower is unfinished). There is also lots to see further east in the Latin Quarter.

We have really enjoyed the apartment. It’s worked well for our needs. We haven’t been spending a ton of time in the apartment as we’ve been busy exploring, but we’ve had no problems at all. I’m so glad to have selected this apartment now that I know the layout of the city better. The smaller, quieter neighborhood is perfect for us. We’ve really enjoyed exploring many of the local cafes and shops. It’s lively here without being too loud or busy. I feel we’re among locals more than tourists too which is nice for us. All in all we couldn’t be more pleased with our choice!

This snug apt. is in a choice location : down the street, and around the corner you come out on the Seine, and the most beautiful pedestrian bridge across the river that takes you into the Louvre courtyards. In the other direction, pretty good too. 3 wonderful local restaurants on the corners, and streets filled with galleries. The Odéon hub up ahead. The apt. is well outfitted and in a building with its own gallery in the courtyard. A real initiation into Left Bank life.
