The District
You cannot ask for a more central location than the Paris' 1st arrondissement, one of the city's most stylish addresses. Located right in the center of the city, this apartment is close to all major transportation and within walking distance of many of Paris' most famous sites and museums. The Louvre Museum is just blocks south of the apartment, while the elegant Opera Garnier is just to the north. Avid shoppers will enjoy browsing the stores along the famous Rue Saint Honoré. From the famous Colette boutique, to luxury brands like Gucci, Dior, and Yves St. Laurent, you will find it all here. Just around the corner from the apartment is Place Vendome, where you will find many of the worlds' most famous jewelers--Cartier, Buccellati, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Boucheron.
Stop in for a drink at the Ritz's famous Hemingway Bar before strolling down the lovely Rue de Rivoli. Walk past the famous Comedie Française on your way to the gorgeous Palais Royal. Just down the street, you will find the extensive Tuileries Gardens. Beyond them, the Place de la Concorde looms, marking the entrance to the Champs Elysées, which leads to the Arc de Triomphe.
The neighborhood is also full of restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy fine dining or simply grab a coffee and watch the world go by. One of our favorite cafes is Les Chevaux de Marly, inside the Louvre Museum, facing the wing where the Da Vinci Code movie was filmed. Les Chevaux de Marly isn't your typical sidewalk cafes; the place is filled with history, and even when you sit outside you are well protected against the elements, thanks to the stone parapet.
If you are a fan of the Latin Quarter and the St. Germain des Pres area, you will certainly want to sit at the terrace of Les Deux Magots or the famous Cafe de Flore. French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre and his wife, writer Simone de Beauvoir, used to hole up there in the 50s. These cafes provide perfect vantage points from which to view the foot traffic moving along the busy Boulevard St. Germain.
More suggestions? Check out the following areas, you'll find nice cafes: Butte aux Cailles (in the 13th district), Place de la Contrescarpe (in the 5th district), Place des Abbesses (on the Montmartre Hill) and the perennial cafe facing the Pont St Louis, on Ile St Louis, near Quai de Bourbon.

The Church of Saint-Roch (French: Église Saint-Roch) is a 17th–18th-century French Baroque and classical style church in Paris, dedicated to Saint Roch. It is located at 284 rue Saint-Honoré, in the 1st arrondissement. The current church was built between 1653 and 1740.[2][3]
The church is particularly noted for its very exuberant 18th century chapels decorated with elaborate Baroque murals, sculpture, and architectural detail. In 1795, during the later states of the French Revolution, the front of the church was the site of the 13 Vendémiaire, when the young artillery officer Napoleon Bonaparte fired a battery of cannon to break up a force of Royalist soldiers which threatened the new revolutionary government.

Salut Connie –
Thanks so much for your reply. Find below a review you are welcome to use.
“ I cannot recommend Panache Rentals enough. My daughter and I had a perfect Paris vacation staying at the Panache property on Rue Des Pyramides – right in the heart of the city within walking distance of the Louvre, les Jardins des Tuilleries and the Seine. The location was central to everything we wanted to do while the apartment itself was so comfortable and pleasant that we spent many nights shopping in the nearby markets, cooking in the super-efficient kitchen and eating in – for us a far superior experience to hotels where you are a step removed from that kind of immersion into the city. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to cook, clean up, wash our clothes etc. It also has a really distinct sense of interior design with interesting art on the walls and a great sense of personality suffusing the entire space. The beds were super comfortable and despite being in the center of town, the building itself was amazingly quiet even with the windows open to beat the August heat. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I keep thinking of the view out the windows facing west where you could see spectacular sunsets over the church across the road with Sacre Coeur visible off in the distance to the right. The whole experience was Paris at it’s best for us. I also must add that Connie and her on-location team have a very personal touch sending clear instructions for how to access and make best use of the apartment as well as many helpful recommendations for places to eat and things to do. They always responded quickly and kindly to any questions I had, making their service far superior to past experiences I’ve had with other rental companies. I will absolutely be back to Panache the next time I have the opportunity to return to Europe.”
Thanks again and all the best !
