Description:
This is a Non-Smoking Apartment
Our St. Michel is a spacious two / three-bedroom, two-bathroom Left Bank apartment superbly located in the 6th arrondissement. The apartment is on the 2nd floor French with an elevator. Situated in the heart of the Left Bank’s coveted 6th arrondissement, the apartment’s neighborhood is well endowed with wonderful boutiques, fine food shops, cafés and restaurants. Ideally centrally located for easy sightseeing the apartment is just a 3 minute walk to the banks for the Seine River, Notre Dame Cathedral and the islands of Ile de la Cité and Ile St. Louis. Within a comfortable stroll are the Luxembourg Gardens, the charming Marais District, the famous Boulevard St Germain, Rodin Museum, Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, etc. There is a nearby taxi stand, bus stop and handy METRO lines that easily take you further afield. Location, location, location!

The St. Michel apartment is light and airy with floor to ceiling windows and Juliet Balconies. There are traditional hardwood floors throughout the apartment in the classic French Chevron-design. The living room is comfortably furnished and offers a flat screen TV. The living room can be considered a 3rd bedroom because its doors can close and thus separate it from the rest of the apartment. The living room sofa converts to a double bed plus there are two single beds – allowing the apartment to sleep up to eight people. There is a second sitting room, with a sofa, adjacent to the charming dining area. The curved dining room, with its Juliet balconies, is furnished with a handsome antique sideboard, long dining table and seating for up to ten guests. The apartment has a modern and fully equipped kitchen – with all the major appliances including a NESSPRESSO maker! There is ample cookware, dishware and glassware for the guests’ convenience.

The Master bedroom has a Queen-size bed and a writing table. The Master bedroom’s ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink, mirror, bidet and toilet. The second bedroom also has a Queen-size bed. The second bathroom has a bathtub with a hand held shower, sink, mirror, bidet and toilet.
Situated in the heart of Paris’ iconic St Germain des Prés neighborhood, the apartment is located on one of the most ancient and charming streets in Paris. The rue Hautefeuille is an ancient street, which in the Middle Ages went to the Faubourg Saint-Jacques. It was cut in two by the enclosure built by Philippe Auguste between 1190 and 1215 4 . The construction of the Cordeliers convent in the 12TH century shortened the street which now stops at rue de l'Ecole-de-Médecine, formerly the rue des Cordeliers.

Restaurant Recommendation: BOUILLON RACINE. French friends took us to this well preserved art deco restaurant. The food is traditional French food with updated touches. Service is excellent. It is the Latin Quarter, about 1 block off of Blvd. St. Michel on rue Racine. It is a busy restaurant near the medical school in the Latin Quarter, with 2 services: 7:30 and 9:30. It is just down a block or so from the Luxembourg Garden. It is a 10 or 15 minute walk up rue Hautefeuille from the "St. Michel" apartment. HM 2021

Your Local Outdoor Market:
For a traditional Paris food market, take a stroll through nearby Marche Maubert and check out the oldest in the capital. Established in 1547, this market offers the freshest of produce and goods, including cheese, meat, fruit, vegetables, spices, bread, flowers, and more. Clothing and other odds and ends are available as well.
The best time to go is about mid-morning, when the site is bustling with locals bartering and browsing the stalls, and the culture is at its best. Many items are able to be taste tested before buying, and it’s recommended you take a basket or bag to carry your goods. These days it gathers three times a week -- Tuesday, Thursday (7 a.m – 1:30 p.m.), and Saturday (7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.). The Maubert-Mutualité Metro stop is just under the square. It's surrounded by very French specialty shops: patisseries, boucheries, poissonneries, etc. Cafes, bars, restaurants. A lively street life. Exactly what you imagine Paris to be!

REVIEWS:

Hi Connie,

Thank you so much for all you did to arrange our recent trip to Paris. Thanks to your attention to detail everything went smoothly as planned. Sakil was waiting for us when we landed and right on time for pickup back to CDG. Habiba was waiting  when we arrived and patiently explained the working details of the apartment.

As you said, the location of the apartment was convenient and within walking distance of many good restaurants and sites. We spent a good amount of time in the Marais, saw the Rothko exhibit in the Gehry Museum, took in a church concert, ate well, walked a lot and rekindled our love for all things Paris.

The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable and the basics were provided (except for a non working hair dryer).

I will definitely use Panache again and recommend it to others.

Thank again for all the care you took to make our visit so enjoyable.
Best Regards

Connie, we had a magnificent time in Paris and in the St Michel apartment. Here’s my review:
We just returned from a Thanksgiving in Paris with our daughter, her husband, and their kids. What made the trip special was staying in St Michel, an apartment in the 6th arrondisement offered by Panache Paris Apartment Rentals. The apartment itself was ideal: two full bedrooms for the adult couples, a living room with a pullout bed and closeable doors for the kids, a dining room, & a small kitchen. Oh, yes, and two bathrooms—key. The apartment was clean and well-maintained; all utilities worked well. Although we were in a busy neighborhood, the second floor apartment was generally quiet. The only exception was a club playing bass-heavy rap adjacent to the master bedroom. The music stopped every night by 11:30 pm but there was no chance of going to bed until then.

The neighborhood around St Michel was perfect. There was a small market across the way and a super marche two blocks down. Another nearby street was home to two creperies, a patisserie, & several restaurants. Everything on the Left Bank seemed to be within easy walking distance, as was the Louvre & Notre Dame.

Finally, I can’t say enough about Panache. They made the rental process easy. Our jet-lagged selves were well taken care of by a driver who met us at CDG & took us directly to our apartment where we were, again, met by a friendly greeter who let us in, gave us the keys, & told us about the neighborhood. We also felt well prepared by the extensive orientation packet Panache sent us a few weeks before departure. We would use Panache again in a heartbeat.

We loved St Michel.  You were so right. The location was fabulous especially having young children with us: easy walking everywhere (including all the way back from la tour Eiffel when  metro tickets didn't work!), easy walk to the playground at les jardins du Luxembourg, tons of restaurants, brasseries…..just neat. Metro one block away. I thought it might be noisy:  not at all.  I was in the second bedroom and heard nothing at night.
Panache is a joy to work with.  Habiba was there to greet us and thankfully we never had to bother her again. There were enough basic supplies so we didn't have to immediately go to market.

I will recommend you highly to anyone going to Italy, London, the French countryside and of course Paris.…..literally I can’t think of one thing to recommend you change!
Many thanks.
David and Lor, please add anything I may have left out.

*This St Michel apartment is perfectly located in a great area near restaurants, cafes, shopping and the Seine.  Inside it is light and bright and very comfortable. The bathrooms have great water pressure. Tons of closet space and very comfortable beds/pillows. Close to the grocery store too. If any issues came up, the property manager Cynthia was responsive to all of our needs.  We spent over two months in the property and will rent it again on our next trip.

*This apartment is perfect - you need not worry about sending any one of your clients here. The only glitch we’ve run into is that we can’t seem to figure out the key that opens the door to get to the recycling bins on the first floor and their is no waste bin in the Kitchen; Maria was wonderful upon arrival and made sure we knew our way around and how to get in touch with her... lovely woman, you are lucky to have her here! We couldn’t ask for better weather - I packed too many sweaters! LOL!
All is very good - Bon Annee!

*Hello Connie, "St. Michel" is a very nice, very comfortable, light and airy apartment with a fine view of Place St. Andre des Arts. The greeting and assistance from Cynthia and her team on the ground was very good. The minivan and driver to the airport were in touch and on time. The apartment was perfect for our daughter and granddaughter who came as tourists because of its location convenient by foot or metro or bus to everything. There was a big pharmacy around the corner of Blvd St. Michel where we could get our negative Covid tests the day before returning.

Connie,
The apartment was outstanding, and working with Panache was extremely customer friendly. The location, the charm, and the driver you arranged were all incredible. We were thrilled to work with you and I’ve already shared our experience (and your website) with several close friends.
Thank you so much, and we look forward to using Panache in our future travels.
